I'm 24.

It's interesting to me that fandom seems to hang out in age-based tranches which seem to mostly kind of age up together. Maybe that's just my experience though.

Of course that's a generalization and plenty of people hang out in social circles that don't fit this but it seems like a lot of places have rough consensus ages and this also seems to fit into the way that people move from fandom to fandom. For me, for instance, 5 years ago, most of the fandom and Internet-nerdy spaces I hung out in seemed to be predominantly late-teens and very early 20s. Now they're mid-to-late 20s. Despite many of them being totally different places and spaces.

don't feel old really, but I have noticed that I get more easily annoyed by overly obstreperous teenage fans at conventions now

Just turned 44. I don't consider myself old but I am NOT young by any means. It annoys me when co-workers, mostly men, call me "young lady".
