I think Candle Cove is my favorite, because it's the balance of terrifying and restrained that I like. I don't like surprise excessive gore or death horror, though I tend to read those too out of morbid fascination. But I generally think the best horror, or the horror that works best for me anyway, is the creepy stuff that feels real but no one is actually directly hurt within the story.

I also liked the haunted cartridge classics, mainly Ben and Pokemon Black, probably because they were the same. Really frightening but not shock gore horror.
