Basically, it's a challenge set around a particular fandom/character, where you/multiple people write stories or draw art that have a theme that fits every letter of the alphabet.

For example, there could be an Avengers Alphabet Soup challenge, with "A is for Assemble," "B is for Bucky," etc. Or it could be a Hawkeye Challenge, so instead it's "A is for Arrow," "B is for Broken," etc. It can be fun seeing what other people come up with.
