A fair few.

Can't speak so much to the american side, but on the UK you hardly have to dig hard to find examples.

And if you're talking active gangs with record labels I could name no end.

That depends on how you define "gang," though, doesn't it?

Over here in the US, yeah gangsta rap came out of gang culture (particularly on the west coast) but it's so widely performed now (plus the genre is 20+ years old) that it's difficult to find gangsta rappers with any serious ties to local-level criminal organizations.

Jay Z was a gangster; so was 50 Cent. I'm not really into rap, so those are the only ones I know for sure.
