I can't imagine it nowadays. If I go longer than a day it's just gross. It never bothered me at the time, but I suspect a lot of that is just that it's easier than people think to get used to fucked up situations. Like people who live in hoarder households or who rarely bathe to the point where their hair is smelly and gross.
