Looking for a book

There was a book I read years ago that I'm trying to find again to re-read, but I can't remember the title or the author. I was hoping the good people of F!S would be able to help.

Three orphaned girls, from different countries, are adopted by an English man travelling Europe/the world, and sent to live in London. They all have names beginning with the same letter, P I think. They all go to ballet/performing arts school. I think one of the girls had a Russian-sounding name.

I know it's not much to go on, but... maybe someone knows it?

Ballet Shoes, by Noel Streafeild. It's an excellent book.

A man adopts three girls, and you're not talking about Despicable Me? That really narrows it down. Seriously.

That said, it's Ballet Shoes by Noel Streafeild. There was a one-shot adaptation made a few years ago, staring Emma Watson as Pauline.
