Things I have dealt with: mice, rats, cockroaches, giant cockroaches, flying giant cockroaches, spiders, giant spiders, and ants. Exterminator for the spiders because they were poisonous and huge. Traps for the mice and rats. Roach chalk for the roaches. I was always the resident insect killer as a kid, so I've always dealt with smaller insects myself.

I was resident insect capturer, too. I'd just be minding my own business when:

"ANON! ANON, HEEEEEEEELP! HURRY!"

*sprints to sister's room*

"GET IT! KILL IT!"

"Where? What is it?"

World's tiniest moth. :|

Yup. Only, this came not just from my sister but from both my parents too, at least once I was in high school. Especially my dad because he hates bugs. Not sure how little small ones can bug a person after they've seen giant ones, but whatever.

if you don't want to use poison, roaches hate the smell of bay leaves. put bay leaves under the kitchen sink, behind the stove, all the food cupboards and any other places roaches hang out. I do this all the time. there hasn't been a roach in my place in years.
