Do you think you're a good fan?

I was thinking about this because I realized I kind of have completely awful taste in fanfic. I mean it's not the worst thing in the world, but still.

I don't think your taste in fic in any way reflects whether or not you're a good fan.

Treating fellow fans with respect is what makes you a good fan. Not being batshit is being a good fan. Not being creepy or entitled or downright aggressive towards creators is what makes you a good fan.

Your taste in fic? Is just your taste in fic. As long as you don't hassle anyone over that, then you're a good fan whatever you read.
