I do that too! I have birthday/Christmas cards going back to when I was a kid also. And drawings my family members drew me and random stuff, like the paper plane I made first day of class this year. (well a lot of us made paper planes that day, nto just me). Wait why don't you get to keep your train ticket? What if there is a random ticket control? How do you prove that you have paid?

I keep a lot of stuff that happened in my life, and hang it up on my wall, or put it in boxes.

I would keep cards if I ever got them but people haven't given me cards since I was 9, excepting an Eid card my crush gave me when I was 11 haha. It would be great to do that, you get to look back and remember what it was like at each age and occasion!

Over here it's get a ticket -> go on board -> alight and give the machine your ticket so it knows you arrived at the right station. The only train ticket I got to keep is from Australia, when I went on a steam train that was a popular tourist attraction.
