Bridal Shower brain melt

(Anonymous) 2015-01-30 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
Well, my cousin is getting married next month, and I got invited to the bridal shower (or as I managed to type it earlier birdal shower because I've had birds on the brain for the last month and a half). I've only been to one bridal shower before, and it was my own. It was also a couple's shower in which there were almost as many guys in attendance as women. The one I'm invited appears to be a lot more traditional. I was invited to one last year but didn't go because A) It was too far away and B) I was broke as a joke. This time around, it's a little closer, and I have some money. I just have no idea what to do with myself (other than bring a gift and resist the urge to smuggle in a flask of Jack Daniels). Any advice?

Resisting the urge to bring a flask of Jack Daniels is good.

Bring a flask of brandy instead. Highly underrated flask-liquor.

OP here

I've never actually had brandy before. Closest I've come is cognac, and that could work. Otherwise I guess I'll have to see if the local liquor store is offering brandy samples this week so I can get a taste.
