Oh man, that is fucking terrifying. Like my kneejerk thought is he's an abusive douche trying to manipulate someone, because if he was actually looking to talk about it, he wouldn't have hung up on you, then just call you back, but if he wasn't, eesh. What a scary thing to happen. Good on you for going to your dad, and good on your dad for having a good idea what to do!
