I don't think that it's at the level where there's a moral obligation to stop watching it (except maybe in the case of Literally Qatar). And I still do enjoy watching sports immensely, in most cases. It's just that there's massive blight sitting on top of it that makes it so much worse than it needs to be. It's a frustrating aspect of the thing.
