Fallout + rough sex and pregnancy? Are these the kind of people who argue that Caesar's Legion is just misunderstood? (Then again, that crowd used to point to how tolerant the Legion was of M/M . . .)

Never underestimate the power of EDGE! I used to hang out in Geneforge fandom, which has a character called Taygen who is almost literally Hitler. He has concentration camps and everything. There was a tiny minority of players with sufficient EDGE to argue that he was doing what was necessary to end the cycle of violence, and in any event the other factions were even more evil than him. (Never mind that the most evil, unforgivable thing Astoria does involves half-inadvertently letting Taygen pull the kind of shit he outright plans for!)

Uuugh. Legion apologists.

I 'like' their arguing that Caesar himself isn't that bad a guy, with good intentions. Which...is arguable...but even if he is OK on a personal level, he either actively allows crap like slavery, or is so hands off as to invalidate any argument based on what he might want. And, of course, the whole 'road to hell' thing.
