No romance at all? I mean, most stories in general have romance, movies and books included, so that does narrow it down quite a bit.

You could try Into the Woods? The real musical (not the movie) doesn't resolve with any romantic love at all, though there is a bit in the first act. It's a bit funny, but it's a lot darker and deeper as well and overall I wouldn't label it a comedy at all.

Also, if you're okay with romantic love being somewhat present but NOT the point of the story, and not the climax or resolution, Next to Normal also comes to mind. Well, I mean, it has some romantic subplots but that's not really what the story is about. That show's become quite popular, though it isn't a personal favorite of mine.

Les Miserables also really only has one romantic subplot but it doesn't involve the characters who have any actual agency in the story, not protagonists and such.

Ooh, I was about to rec Next to Normal! That's not funny at all. It's one of those I can only listen to every so often because it's pretty heavy, but it's one of my girlfriend's favorites for that reason, for example.
