Communism pretty much means the opposite actually.

Well, in theory communism is as fiscally liberal as you can get but it's coupled with a huge and powerful government that makes everything not work right and socially it's a shit mess because when people have that much power they will do anything they can to keep it. So it's sort of "socially conservative/fiscally liberal" together. That is, by American standards. Those words can mean so many different things, after all...
