If it's intensely focused on the physical acts and sensations of sex and there's nothing going on with plot and characterization at the same time, I call it PWP. It's that which gets "I'll be in my bunk" kinds of responses, lol. There's a tone and intent to it that isn't there when you're doing smutty character study and using sex as an integral part of the story, approaching those scenes like you'd approach writing about anything else that happens, which I always try to do.
