This reminds me of a fill I got on the Hobbit kink meme. I did not say anything against the genderswap, but frankly, when it came to the fic itself... I was totally underwhelmed and realised I can't read my favourite slash pairings being genderswapped if they go and swap both of them to female. I can sometimes read genderswap if only one gets swapped, but not both, because I have no interest in femmeslash.

But at this point, I'm not sure I could tolerate even a one-sided genderswap either. As far as Dragon Age is concerned, there are some origins I have no attachment to, there are some LIs I have no attachment to, and I would probably throw a tantrum if I posted a prompt and someone decided they'd fill it with Solavellan instead of the pairing I designated.
