Thoughts?

Online, 90% are 16 year old who are no better than the men they whine about.
Offline, only 20% are that way but I think that number is increasing because of the 16 year old growing up physically.

Sadly, the online crowd is louder and more prominent than the offline crowd.

They're evil and going to steal and brainwash your children.

"A large group of people who hold certain ideals, with just as much infighting and disagreement about those ideals as any other large group"

Are my thoughts, yes.

I think the problem is that the term of feminism is so broad nowadays, it can be used for pretty much anything, including stuff I don't really stand behind.

I think the original concept is good and worth fighting for.

Feminists aren't one thing. Like a religion has sects and sometimes sects within sects, there's many feminists with different mindsets.

I consider myself a feminist, but there's many feminists who I feel are hypocritical. Or who aren't "feminist" but, rather, just like fighting on the internet in the name of it.

TBH at this point the primary reason why I identify as a feminist is because not doing so would mean agreeing with a lot of shitheads.

I'm NOT a feminist for the same reason.

They make a lot more sense when you see how brain-breakingly horrible the anti-feminists can be. Just speaking out against harassment can get your apartment listed on Craigslist with a notice to come over and have violent sex with you, and a disclaimer that you'll "pretend" to resist.

I laughed.

I'm proudly a feminist. The parts of the movement I have a problem with are mostly white feminists who don't understand the need to be intersectional and who focus on white-only issues and ignore the sexism that is specific to women of color/gay women/trans women/disabled women.

I'm a transman. I stopped being a feminist when I saw what being a man means to the feminist community.

I say this as a trans american man in a very Christian area: I have never felt more hatred. Not ignorance or stupidity, actual disgust and hatred from people who not too long before I would have called family.
