Yeah, that's really creepy cult shit there, turning someone's personality into merely a vehicle for *sparkles* THE PRODUCT!

And trust me, I sell stuff through my LJ/DW. If bad things are happening, I DO say so. (They might be filtered, but they still go up.) Part of being a small fish businessman is (for me) trying to be interesting, entertaining, and someone people want to give money to. Relentless phony positivity is not interesting or entertaining; it's creepy and fake. And trying to pressure all my readers to give me money is just tacky. If people are interested, awesome! If not, I will post other things for them to enjoy.

I would never, EVER want to treat my online friends or commenters as purely vehicles to squeeze money out of! That'd be just gross.

Oh yeah I run my own business so I know what it's like but I could never do something like MLM because I want people to get what they paid for and I don't want to spend my whole life advertising. I'd probably go into debt if I tried one of those schemes because every time someone wasn't satisfied I'd refund them, I just can't take money from people in that way.

Yeah, it's pretty much impossible to spend your whole life advertising. It'd be boring and draining as hell. MLM is just gross as hell, yuck.

What kind of business do you have?
