I kind of agree. I didn't see much harm in the stuff that was frozen. It was pointlessly wanky, sure, and the same old arguments that I didn't feel like rehashing myself, but that happens all the time. I'm not really that bothered by it though. Just a bit surprised that they were frozen.

The second thread was pointless repetitive wank, so no question about that one. The first one was probably because the OP themselves said it was supposed to be a joke.

I guess I just don't understand case's criteria for freezing threads. I feel like joke threads like that one have stayed open before and whether or not a pointless wank thread gets frozen seems inconsistent to me.

Case did say "And trust me, I've been here long enough to tell when some of you are replying to yourselves to cause wank, with or without it." So I'm assuming he caught on to someone doing that, and that's why he froze the thread.

I'm assuming he thinks someone was replying to themselves and used his suspicions to start freezing stuff.

Also, who cares about people replying to themselves is not the end of the world.
