I have no real response to this. It's kind of adorable. I just couldn't let a TNG secret go without commenting!

Time to 'fess up, FS.

How old were you when you saw "Encounter at Farpoint"?

It premiered before I was born, but I'd hazard I was 5-6 when I actually saw it. And by "saw it" mostly mean that I'd play with my toys with TNG was on in the background while my parents/older siblings watched it. I did watch some of it/DS9/VOY when I was a little older; my uncle had the TNG 2-episode VHS tapes, there were reruns, and the later series in their first run.

In my teens, but as a rerun.

I actually remember watching this with my mom when it first aired! I was five or six.

This is a really cute and funny secret and I wish more people posted secrets like this. Actual embarrassing, funny fandom-stuff, not so much complaining-disguised-as-secrets (not that I exactly dislike the complaining-diguised-as-secrets, but there's too much of it in comparison to the funny stuff like this secret.)

Also, I love the phrase "John de Lancie in his judgy outfit."

Image: Q in his judicial robes, on his thone

Text: When I was seven, I watched this premiere.

During the courtroom scene, they say “This court is adjourned.”

I had no idea what a “jurn” was (is that like an urn? IDK.) or how a court could be one.

Eventually, I found out what they were saying and ever since, when I hear the word “adjourned,” I think of Encounter at Farpoint and John de Lancie in his judgy outfit.

This secret made me smile a lot. Thanks for that!

This secret made me smile, because it reminded me of my brother, upon hearing that someone had committed a crime (and for the life of me I can't remember who, but I suspect it was OJ Simpson) he asked: "Oh, did the police find an evident?"

Because clearly they hadn't found any evidence, they'd just found one evident.

Judgmental Q is judgmental.

Similar thing happened to me with The Song American Pie.
