The sad thing for me is that the Hobbit has made me take a new look at the LOTR movies, and I've found a lot of new flaws in them too.


They kind of bring everything down.

Mostly the stuff Jackson added to the story. The Gimli humor always bugged me a bit but now it's intolerable. Same with what they did to Faramir's character. And Denethor is a mess. The whole thing with Arwen getting sick always bugged me a bit but now I just can't let it go. There are some others too.

Since watching the Hobbit, I'm just more aware of the choices Jackson made and how they could've been better.

Those additions always bothered me, too. I know Jackson had reasons for including them, but I don't think his arguments were entirely sound. The whole "Arwen's fate is tied to the Ring!" seems especially pointless.
