Re: Do you have any disorders/disabilities?

The joint thing hit me a lot earlier than you but I know what you mean. I don't know if it fits the criteria for any specific disorder but a lot of my tendons and ligaments are not doing their jobs and I've got permanent damage from dislocating my knees so often. I had to quite ballet after being really serious about it for 12 years, and I really should have quit after 9.

I've been aware I had it since I was...maybe 6? I remember as a kid I fell and threw out my knee, and it bothered me for like half a year. But, I didn't really pay attention to it, I guess? I also have a pretty high threshold of pain, so mostly I just saw it as a minor discomfort. All other people I know who have it, started having problems years before I did (so, I guess i was lucky, in a way).

I never had an official diagnosis, but once I was basically used as 'teaching material' for an intern (with permission) because they hadn't seen it before, so there's that.

Sometimes I do wonder if I should find out which variety I have exactly.

Sorry to heard about the ballet - it must suck to have to quit something you're so invested in. I used to do ballet for a few years, but never with the intention of doing it professionally.
