That would have been more interesting. Unsurprisingly though, Glee was very rocky with its portrayal of Unique. For a while, it seemed like it was unclear whether Unique was trans or just crossdressing (it also seemed unsure whether Glee really knew the difference between the two) until it finally seemed definite that she was trans. But even then, she's still referred to as a "crossdressing Mercedes," which...I don't even know where to start there. The actor who portrays Unique has also been demoted having a recurring role so I don't think we'll be seeing much from her plotwise this season
