How many of your secrets are actually secrets?

I view secrets as discussion starters or opportunities to make up ridiculous premises, so almost none of mine are really secrets.

I view secrets as discussion starters

Same, that's what mine tend to be. I either don't know anyone who cares about the fandom, or just want to further discuss the topic.

All of them are things that I would be completely mortified to bring up in real life and would be real-ass secrets in that context. About 2/3 of them are things that I would be moderately embarrassed to bring up in pseudonymous fandom contexts, and about 1/3 of them are things I wouldn't care about bringing up in that context.

ALL OF THEM.

But this is probably because I'm extremely non-confrontational (to the point where even polite disagreement can stress me out), and also 'cause I get easily embarrassed by some of my perfectly innocuous opinions for no good reason. At least half the secrets I've submitted are really, really tame - but they're still things I wouldn't say under my own name (or internet pseud) for whatever reason... Usually 'cause I've seriously been overthinking something, and/or I'm ashamed to admit how much I care about some really trivial stuff.

Same. That and I never talk about fandom or anything remotely about it IRL. So by default, everything I submit is a secret.

That's sort of hard to define, because the number of people I have to talk about fandom is sort of limited. So sometimes a secret is "something I don't want to tell m r/l friends about".

I was going to say 10%, but actually looking back through my secrets folder now, it's probably closer to 15-20%.

Every secret I have posted here was secret for a reason!
And every time, I got to be told I that I suck in the comments!
I should make up a bunch of Othellia secrets, I guess.

Probably about 75% of them.

The rest are just things I feel a bit embarrassed to admit but wouldn't deny if asked.

Most of mine are stuff I'd be mortified to admit to the respective fandoms, but they might not really be secrets because if I had rl friends into the same fandoms, I'd probably tell them outright if the subject came up. I mean, you're not supposed to take fiction that seriously irl whereas on fandom it's more normal to dogpile somebody for an unpopular opinion, so ...

I've had, I think, 3 submitted, and all of them were pretty embarrassing. My husband might be able to weasel them out of me, since I have a hard time saying no to him, but I'd never tell anyone else if they knew me irl.

I greatly prefer secrets that are actually "secrets", and if not mortifying might at least be embarrassing, at very least in a non geek real world context. So all of mine have been that, at least of the "oh god I'm such a loser lol" variety.

I freak out over internet arguments, so the controversial stuff is definitely things that I'm ~secretly~ thinking, but would never say out loud because I wouldn't want to deal with people arguing with me.

All of them. The problem is that I don't have many secrets.

Look, another subtle spreadsheet question!

Enh. Out of maybe the five I've posted here (and pretty much all of them were back around 2010) most of them were things I was not comfortable discussing in public or with friends.

Two of them were shamelessly trying to advertise things I really liked but weren't very well known.

They might be things I'd tell my best friend in the midst of a fit of truthiness, but otherwise no, they're all secret secrets.
