I don't really follow this, but is there really speculation and profiteering in dragons? Can I take a short position on Christmas dragons? Can I corner the market? Can I drive the global dragon market into a recession by heavily leveraging my current dragons into speculative positions on future dragon returns?

Yup. I successfully cornered a fad colour pattern a while back. Anytime anything born 3 colours either side of each range I bought that up and either used it for my own breeding or exalted it.

Some anon got really mad on their rank community about it and basically rocketed me from unknown to in demand as everyone wanted that range (they'd go around being shifty at anyone who wouldn't sell them the range or offspring on mine)

I abandoned my account a few months back after losing interest so idk how it is now. But I had a waiting list and sold every hatchling for around 30-70k depending on genes. I had one competitor but most times id buy them out, then give a break so people buy one from them then need an unrelated mate from me)
