There's been a re-emergence in the USA of diseases that had previously been eliminated because of vaccines, such as measles. It's been linked to one infamous and hugely flawed study that concluded vaccination causes autism, which led to a whole crop of people who decided not to vaccinate their kids.

You know what, I would way, WAY rather have an autistic LIVING CHILD than a DEAD ONE. (And that's even if you ignore, you know, risking infection in other people.)
