This isn't going to die out, isn't it? The series is over. JKR won. Get over the fact that your opinion is AU. Don't like it? Then write/read a fanfic that supports your pairing ideals and stop blubbering about it. It's just fiction. Enjoy it the way you want to.

She won millions and millions and basically wins at life, I hate the way she wrote romance, but gosh! I adore that woman.

I don't exactly adore her, but geez! It was her story. She wrote it as she saw fit. People should just accept that and get on with their lives. Just because you like a certain pairing doesn't mean it's anything to cry over when it didn't go your way. (By 'you/your' I mean a general 'you/your'.)

No need for clarification, I hate it that we have to walk on eggshells when talking ship on this fandom, I only ship Neville/Luna and her not writing it doesn't affect my love for the pairing one bit (made-of-awesome).

ITA, it's her book, I was pissed at the epilogue (still hate it), but it's her damn book and I believe she had the right to write the ending she wanted (and I say this as someone who absolutely hates H/G).

And in the big picture, ship didn't really play that big of a part, there were some important messages in those books, like uhmmm... I don't know, LOVE? friendship, doing what's right, and LOVE, and did I mention love? not everything is about ship, if someone who doesn't have any idea what HP is about read some of the worst ship wars they'd probably walk away thinking HP was some romance novel.

Yep. XD I hated the epilogue as well, but because of the voice she used in writing the children was completely different from the one she used from the first book. The overall message of love and friendship won me over in the books anyways.

My brief enjoyment in the fandom was reading Draco and Harry centric fics. ;D
