The thread was literally two posts before this one in GC on 'favorite internet trainwrecks'. Andy Blake (technically ongoing), is a fan who was essentially a cult leader and conman who preys on vulnerable people and ruins their lives. Just the accounts of the victims are chilling, but his actions also caused a triple homicide.

There was also the Msscribe fiasco (HP fandom, early noughties,), one women plays the HP fandom through sock puppets, creating wank in order to further her popularity.

A few other interesting and very trainwrecky ones too.

That sounds like the FF7 Cult House, only worse.

Yeah it's similar but more extensively documented and by more verifiable sources. I find it more chilling because, in many respects, AB seems to have been a more successful brainwasher than the FF7 people. :(

Yeah I'm noticing that. Jeeeeeeeeesus.

Yup! I'm actually getting INTERVIEWED about the guy, because he's STILL playing the, "I have DID--no, I mean SUPER-DID--no, I mean, galloping bollockitis which is like DID but totally isn't because it's actually a psychotic disorder even though that makes NO FUCKING SENSE."

But yeah, he's fucking dangerous. And he's STILL FUCKING GOING. (On tumblr.)

Can you link us the interview when it gets published? I really want to hear your insights on him, and the facets of what he's claiming vs. what's actually going on with him. It seems, well, like a trainwreck.

To me, it's not so much a trainwreck as a crazytrain that leapt the track and charged off for the horizon, never to choo-choo upon a legitimate track again. It just keeps going and GOING and you keep shouting, "No, train, that's not where you are supposed to be! Train, please stop!" But it never does.

And sure. It sounds like it'll be on the Daily Dot, and I doubt I'll be a big deal in it, but I'd be happy to!
