- Idgie and Ruth (I know you said you're leaning away from fandom names, but I feel like these aren't super fandom-y, so I wanted to say them. ^^;)
- Doll and Sweetheart
- Bluebell and Jasmine (for fun, name the white one Bluebell, and the blue one Jasmine?)

Yeah! I love that show~ I wish that there was more of it. Or, at least, if I could get my hands on the manga. (I tried reading it online, but I have issues reading manga online. ^^;)

Urgjh and the books - only half the series translated, volume 3 had a tiny run and is downright impossible to find X_X

I like to pretend the novels don't exist so I don't get as frustrated about not being able to get my hands on them. >_>;;

I started reading the novels when they were still being produced - then suddenly nothing! A couple were fantranslated, but I don't think the last few were ;-;

My roommate's gerbils were Idgie and Ruth. Idgie died last summer, but Ruth is still kickin'!
