Tony/Steve fic

Anyone here ship Tony/Steve? I don't really, but I recently read a fic where they used to be married but are divorced and their relationship is all kinds of fucked up. I wanted to read more angsty, dramatic fic, but all I come across are sappy romantic shit. Horribly OOC.

Anyway, anyone got any good Stony recs? Preferably ones where they don't stay together in the end, or if they do, ones where they stay in character? Please and thank you!

I really, deeply love Not About Superheroes, A Private Little War. It's Steve/Tony, but the focus is more on Steve's depression and how difficult it is to come to terms with the world of the 21st century.

Should mention that this isn't exactly what you asked for -- this is a fic of them getting together but I think it does a good job of being not sappy. And the focus isn't wholly on the romance which I think gives the characters more interesting dimensions.

Here you go! Thank you for the rec! This fic focuses A LOT on Steve's depression, too. I think maybe that's what I liked about this.

I hear that something like this (with a genderbent Tony, I guess) happens in the comics, so maybe poke around there?

You could always look for fic that also pairs Tony with Bruce or Steve with Bucky. There's definitely fic where the Steve/Tony relationship is fucked up and Bruce/Bucky/whoever comes and rescues them. Those fics are horribly OOC IMO but YMMV.
