I think there's a little more sensitivity towards it in "chick lit" because of genre trends. In formula romance if there's a pregnancy she always, ALWAYS keeps the baby (except if there's a miscarriage). Yeah, it's a "choice" every time, but that "choice" is almost always keeping the baby.
