Image: Boromir, Pippin, and Merry

Text: Um. I think I've figured out where my bear/twink kink came from.

I think this is where the obligatory comment goes:

You were probably always going to have a thing for bear/twink. This is probably just where you had the first inklings of it.

Otherwise you right now could also have a thing for short guys, guys with hairy feet, ladies who live in forests and glow unexpectedly, kidnap by orcs, violent trees, rings, old twinkly guys in pointy hats... Need I go on?

Basically that. Often we just discover our kinks through media, not develop them.

I read that as "old twinky guys."

Thanks for the laugh, OP!

I was a bit confused about this secret because the second I saw the word "Bear" I said, "Merry and Pippin don't exactly fit that description even though they have a lot of hair" then I read the rest of the secret, lol.

I don't really ship Boromir much but I definitely get the love for size differences. They are my thing.

The closest OTP I have for Boromir is Boromir/Merry/Pippin from the movie. It's not a Bear/Twink thing for me but I do like them together. I thought the three of them together were adorable.

I don't really ship Boromir at all. I more loved the brother relationship with him and Faramir. I always imagine that he'd make a great older brother.

I adore Faramir but I've always been a little cold towards Boromir. The first time I read LOTR, I was surprised by the sudden betrayal against Frodo and didn't really understand Boromir's redemption. It's colored the character for me ever since.

He felt warmer in the movies, and Merry and Pippin had a lot to do with it. I love brother relationships but Faramir and Boromir just isn't one that ever really worked for me. Blame Denethor. *shrug*

Ehh, I dabbled in that end of the fandom back in the day. These days while I ship Boromir with someone shorter, he isn't a hobbit.

I love bear/twink and I love LOTR but... do the hobbits actually count as twinks? I can't really see it.

Only if they're young or young-looking hobbits. Older hobbits are just as wrinkled and aged as older humans, they're just less inclined to beards (despite Dan Hennah's "Old Took" and his long sideburns).

...love bear/twink
...love boromir/merry/pippin
...LoTR is the second fandom and the first with slash pairings

...>_< omg OP, I think you made me rethink couple of things...
