I only listened to the song/watched the video when all the hoopla happened, but genuinely liked it. Not the video, that was pretty terrible imo, but the song itself was quite lovely and I enjoy the lyrics.

(There's a great Thor/Loki video that uses this song and it's perfect.)

And I realized that the song is pretty catchy and has good bones; it's mainly the production that's the issue. I genuinely like this cover. Unfortunately, the song is pretty catchy so I find myself singing it, sometimes in public, and then I realize that people won't know that I'm singing the cover, not the original.

I heard this song on the radio a few times and got to like it. Then I googled some of the lyrics to find out exactly what it was, and was all UGH WHAT WHO NO!!! But I got over it.

Even artists you usually hate can occasionally produce a gem. And sometimes songs don't have to be that great, you can still love them for personal reasons. Take joy in what you can and don't worry about it so much! (This secret and secret #10 should be BFFs.)
