Today was longer than yesterday! Everyone at work thought it was dragging. I am still trying to figure out what to GIF. Nothing I have looks good. This is a very boring week.

Found out that six months ago an injury I thought was superficial was actually me breaking the outer metacarpals in both my hands.

And I have a completely nominal but non-zero chance I've been exposed to HIV. Which is now going to hang over me for like the next couple months whilst I get tested. Fuck, got an appointment tomorrow may have to get on PEP.

So you know, not great.

Aww man I had a friend who had a HIV scare. The meds he had to take to ensure he didn't get it made him so sick but worth it in the long run :C

It's been pleasant, somewhat! Still feel like my life's on hold while we search for cars, but I've given up looking. I don't have the money to afford a car that isn't a piece of shit and I suspect the reason my mother's been dragging her feet in helping me is because she likes having me rely on her. Wouldn't be the first time.

My homework load has slowed down enough that I actually have a reasonable amount of free time again, and I have no idea how to handle it. I'm so unused to having the energy to work on writing or look for jobs. (On the writing front, I'm also afraid that my homework will pick up again just as I get back into it. Stop-and-start writing is the #1 way to make me hate the story and never want to work on it again.)

Today I bought 2 tickets for the Renaissance Faire, date of attendence to be determined later (there's a Valentine's sale on pairs of tickets, which works well for a group with an even number of participants, regardless of dating status).

Pretty shit because I spent half of yesterday dizzy and tired, and while I feel better now I'm definitely not 100%. I need more (and better) sleep. (I haven't had a good nights sleep all week and naps have been impossible. :/)

Slightly boring. nothing special has happened. But I do have after-school gaming tomorrow and I will probably be beaten for the 100th time in Super Smash Bros, but it will be fun!

Monday and Tuesday were okay because they were snow days.

Today was hell. The MBTA needs to die. It took me 4 hours to get into work this morning. 4 hours on what is usually a 1 hour trip. And then 2.5 hours home only because I was able to catch the commuter rail.

Like I mentioned over the weekend, decided to break my lease and get a new place. Will probably lose last months rent + deposit that I put down at the beginning, but it will be worth it. I can't wait to be able to sleep/nap whenever I want, well, outside of work hours that is.

But yeah. I found one place that I really loved, but it got taken 5 minutes before I got there (although the person who got it was a friendly acquaintance, so I can't be too bitter.)

There are two that I sort of like with pros and cons, but seeing as how I'll be paying $1100/month for whatever I get, I think I'm going to keep looking into the weekend. (Cons with both = ground floor studios (but also technically top floor due to hills, so yay) with windows that anyone can look into and see the entire place.)

But the one is really tempting because it's a stand alone unit, meaning I could make as much noise as I wanted without bothering anyone.

Started off ok, seems to be gradually turning into suck.

Slowly spiralling deeper into depression. Had a mini-meltdown because I found out I suck as a healer in world of warcraft. Now I can't sleep because I'm worried I'm annoying people with my roleplay character.

All in all it's shit.

Surprisingly busy. I'm not making as much headway on a story that's due in a week because I've had some activity on the job front. I have a phone interview tomorrow and scheduled an in-person interview for Monday. I'm kind of nervous about everything, but I have noticed that I'me been getting more callbacks since I quit my last job versus being fired from a job. I'm almost hopeful. We'll see.

I had to give a deposition about an accident I was in two and a half years ago, because I am being sued. I have a lawyer provided by my insurance company, and if I lose, they'll pay (though my premium will probably go up) but still. Not a fun way to spend the day, and I had to take off work to get the same 20 seconds of my life picked apart for a couple of hours.

S'ok so far. Just had an IUD put in this afternoon that has me cramping something major right now, which seems to be the norm. Taking a night off work cause it's making my lower back ache way too much for me to be hopping on and off a tug all night. Took some advil earlier in the day and it's only given me a slight reduction in cramp pain, but not enough to make it easy for work.

Bluh.

Luckily my boss put me in for a sick day, so that's good. Still may not get pto for that, but at least it'll be excused.

Weird. Lots of ups and downs. Time of month messing with my head more than usual. Dealing with drama at work, learning how to do my job, FINALLY getting internet in my apartment, saying goodbye to my brother who is moving several states away, dealing with a new crush that kinda came at me out of the blue, still trying to clean things up as the dust settles and worry about doing the next 27 important things on my list, and constantly playing Civilization V to take my mind off it all.

(I have been addicted to that game for more than a month and it's finally starting to wind down a little bit? I think? I have a feeling it's one of those games I'll go back to later even if I stop...)

It has been so-so.
Grandpa is back in the hospital. He had 1/3 of his stomach removed in order to get rid of a cancerous tumor last month. He was having problems with his feeding tube, but is doing a lot better. I was able to hitch a ride with my aunt to go see him Wednesday. The doctor said he wanted to keep him at least three more days before sending him home though.

The computers at work were messing up on Tuesday and Wednesday. I am working by myself today, so I hope they have been fixed.

I still don't know how I'm going to pay my electric bill (a total of $2,461.10) by next Wednesday.
