Ugh I'm so sick of Markiplier.

He's nice to look at, but he does the same annoying shit as all the other YouTubers do, with the excited yelling and stuff and I'm just so tired of him already.

I really liked the Tipping 40s for that reason. They were super chill. Them being constantly drunk probably helped with that.

Even when they spent an hour fighting a Final Fantasy X boss only to accidentally kill their entire party in the last turn, I don't think there was any hysterical yelling the way a lot of youtubers would react. Just a couple really really loud "FUCKS" and blame directed at the person who told them to make the mistake that cost them the battle.

I do think that people who get excited and immersed in games are the ones who tend to be really dedicated to making let's plays--by which I mean that he's probably an excitable yelly person who plays games instead of a guy who plays games and acts yelly and excited for views--but I totally get that the style can be annoying to some people. (He gets it too, lol...I've seen him say plenty of times "If you don't like me I totally understand! I'm not everyone's style!")

True, and you can find an LPer or individual LP to suit every taste or mood at this point. I've seen Outlast done every which way, from near-complete silence to piercing shrieks. Sometimes from the same people, lol.

Well, you could not watch him. No, seriously, Cryaotic and CinnamonToastKen are pretty chill Let's Players with cool styles. I look at them when I want a break from excitability.

When I want a more chill Let's Play, I watch Lotus Prince! He really likes to show off the game and focus on the little details, and be as quiet and transparent as possible. He's really quiet through most of his Let's Plays! (Which is why I sometimes think he's even funnier during scary games, because he DOESN'T react!)

I love watching him overthink things. But yeah, he's got a super chill voice too, but he gets into the story in a way that I love (so many LPers sort of gloss the story)

Lotus Prince has a very soothing voice, I think! And I really love how he tries to show EVERYTHING in the game, all the secrets and endings and bonuses. Like, when I watch Lotus Prince, it's because I really want to feel immersed in the game. When I watch Markiplier, it's because I want to see him as a performer!

So I feel like they bring different things to the table, and I watch them for different reasons. I like them both! :D

This is such a cute dream, OP.

I love his voice (I wish my voice was as deep as his), and he's so fun to watch right up there with Cinema Snob, Rosanna Pansino, RetroBlasting (they're two geeks who are into retro action figures, tv shows and movies and utilizes comedy into their retrospectives. I highly recommend checking them out!), AVGN, Nostalgia Chick, sometimes Nostalgia Critic (though I do want to slap him for his lazy Sailor Moon review, which I've opted for Evan MacIsaac instead) and that's about it, as far as webchannel people goes.
