I've been having these sorts of thoughts about David Attenborough. It's been . . . holy cow, sixty years since the first broadcast of Zoo Quest? I can't even imagine a world without him in it, but he's certainly not getting any younger.

I cannot imagine "Life" without the Voice. I'd like to think of a memorial in Westminster Abbey, with so many animals carved on it... it's the only way I can cope with the concept.

Yeah, me too. (Incidentally, if you're in the UK or have a British VPN, did you know Zoo Quest is permanently up on the iPlayer?)

Though in a way I will be sadder about Pterry, because while I love Attenborough just as much, he's been able to keep doing the things he loves and is brilliant at for so much longer than Pterry will be able to :(
