I guess that makes sense. Still dont' like the term and don't want to see it. Especially don't like it when tumblr uses it in more...general terms, like the friendly "this fandom is trash" and no, don't lump me in with that horrible word I am not trash, no matter how kindly meant >:

I'm unfamiliar with fujoshi.

Fujoshi is a term commonly used to insult girls who are into things like anime / yaoi, it's from Japan. Literally translates to 'rotten girl', so you can see where the 'trash' thing comes from. Otaku which is the male equivalent is just sort of like super nerd, and a lot of people who are otaku also look down on fujoshi. Just take a look at any popular anime fan site, you'll see a lot of guys celebrating yuri / girl love stuff then calling anything that's gay or has two guys in it gross and disgusting throughly unironically.

A lot of girls calling themselves 'trash' is kind of their way of saying 'so what, I don't care, I'm not going to stop'. You don't have to like it, and a lot of them likely didn't care to be called that, but calling themselves that before other people start is a good way to make it hurt less when other people inevitably do.
