Re: Cheerleading Betas

I've had a few, mostly during times when I didn't have regular betas.
The way I see it, they're people who like your writing, who generally are willing to read almost anything you write, and are generally excited to receive wips and such and tell you what they like about them.
I usually do a bit of quizzing ("did you like ___?") and they usually do some squeeing, and a little bit of extremely light concrit. Like if something feels a bit off to them or something.
I basically find it to be a very casual form of betaing.
