Non-tumblr Tolkien fandom

So while I'm enjoying the tumblr Tokien fandom right now, I'd really love to find some other places where the fandom is active and where I can have an actual discussion.

The Theonering.net discussion forums are pretty good. I know there were some other forums out there that had some good discussion; I'd have to look at them again to see if they're still active.

But ToRN is definitely still active. They have a chat every week to discuss a different Tolkien topic. And, they would also know where other good Tolkien hangouts are. Maybe you can start a thread in the forums asking about it.
