(Anonymous) 2015-02-14 12:25 am (UTC)(link)Especially when it's fiction, because that's poor characterization when the story isn't all about people banging. For example, you might be reading a spy thriller where the man is described in terms of his skills, his experience as a secret agent, his drinking problem, the scar he got in 'Nam, whatever. But if the female characters are ONLY described in terms of tits and ass, that's messed up.

(Anonymous) 2015-02-14 12:28 am (UTC)(link)Hey, I agree, sexism in character descriptions sucks. I don't believe I ever argued otherwise. All I said was that some people actually do rate people's sexiness when they meet them. That's a thing, and I don't think it's that abnormal.
