But do you honestly not see that's not the same thing? You're allowed to have sexual thoughts about people or to idly wonder sexy things about them. But that is something completely, totally, 100% different from ONLY EVER thinking of or describing a gender in terms of their fuckability factor.

Especially when it's fiction, because that's poor characterization when the story isn't all about people banging. For example, you might be reading a spy thriller where the man is described in terms of his skills, his experience as a secret agent, his drinking problem, the scar he got in 'Nam, whatever. But if the female characters are ONLY described in terms of tits and ass, that's messed up.

I think if a POV character is thinking all the women are sexy (or not sexy) that is still characterization.

Hey, I agree, sexism in character descriptions sucks. I don't believe I ever argued otherwise. All I said was that some people actually do rate people's sexiness when they meet them. That's a thing, and I don't think it's that abnormal.
