I'm going to watch this this weekend. I read everyone's reaction here to the trailer but what did you guys think of the actual movie?

I enjoyed it at the time and I intend to buy the DVD once it comes down in price. I don't remember much about the plot, but it certainly wasn't 'shit' imo (though I didn't expect it to be).

It was more like the fun 'wtf did i just watch' kind of bad, more than the 'when will this thing END???' kind of bad. But as soon as I saw the fist made of bats in the trailer, I suspected it would be that way.

The main issue was scriptwriting. It suffers from some truly bad dialogue.

However, Evans as an actor is actually really good. I'd love to see him in a role with a bit more bite (heh).

I liked it in a fun, campy way, and it LOOKS amazing (the rooms at the castle, drool) but I can't really remember anything that happened. Also the actress playing Vlad's wife was seriously awful.

It wasn't bad. The plot's sort of shaky and you don't really get to know any of the characters beyond Dracula and his immediate family, but it was fine and had some pretty cinematography.
