I loved all of the Quest series: King, Hero, Space.. And of course Gabriel Knight and Leisure Suit Larry.

They had a great story, but some of the puzzles were ridiculous for someone who was not speaking English as the first language. Tickle the uvula, put the airsick bag in the rejuvenator. So many ways to fuck these up.

The first KQ I played was number 6 (?) and it was point-and-click by then. I then got number 3, and I hear you about the wording. I am a native English speaker but I wasn't big into games so I didn't know the conventions of how to ask for things correctly. It was frustrating to find the right wording to get Alexander to do the things I wanted.

I died so many times in the desert.
