I'm not so sure about Myst. I like the story more than the puzzles. Some of the puzzles were challenging and some are putzy but once you know them, there's not a lot of replay value.
BUT, the graphics and worlds are beautiful. I really liked the game conceit of traveling through books. I'm not sure if I'd recommend it or not. I think it's very dependent on personal taste, and I'm so out-of-the-loop on modern gamers that I have no idea if anyone would find it interesting anymore.
