(Anonymous) 2015-02-15 11:54 am (UTC)(link)I was okay until a few months after I came back when I automatically pulled out and started to drive on the right hand side of an empty road in the UK. This is after weeks of getting it right. My brain just took over. Luckily I caught myself when a saw another car and it was still pretty far away.
At UK ferry terminals, the roads are all marked with huge KEEP LEFT signs painted on the roads coming right out of the port, and for a very good reason.
I don't know how lorry drivers do it.
It's just the same feeling I get when trying to read comics/manga/comics. That sort of cross-eyed confusion.
