Your personal experience, while interesting, is not universally applicable to publishing as a whole. If you were previously unaware of this, then now is a good time to realize that a person's experience with publishing original fiction differs widely depending on many factors, including but not limited to what company they deal with (huge traditional company? Small press? Epub only? Vanity press?), what editor they deal with, what genre they're writing in or whether or not they decide to self-publish in which case almost NONE of your experienced negatives apply.

So again: please don't discourage people from trying to publish based on your own limited negative experiences, because it won't necessarily be the same for everyone.
