I watched like three episodes and hated it. Everyone just came across as a cliche idea of their respective gender/minorit/whatever, but with AWESOMESAUCE because it's so oooh progressive. Like a pantheon of token charcters with no other motivation than "let's make a show with awesome women". I'm not saying the show IS like that, but that's the vibe I got in the first episodes and the reason I didn't continue watching.

I'm not saying "give me more straight white dude stories, fuck off tumblrshits". I just feel betrayed by that sort of approach to making "feminist" shows (or books or whatever). I don't want to get my special show with all kinds of awesome catered "my way". That's just patronizing. I don't want to play in the corner and get heaped with pretty pink (read: stuff I'm supposed to like because I'm of the yound, liberal, progressive demographic) shovels and rakes. I want to play in the whole fucking sandbox. And in that way I felt fucking patronized by this show.

Oh, and the main character was an insufferable brat and not in an entertaining way.
