I sort of hope OP IS an asshole... (Rather than people being dicks to them for no reason.)

Not saying that no one ever gets unfairly attacked, and sometimes misunderstandings happen (everyone fucks up phrasing at times), but I can see where adding "In my limited experience" to certain sentences might not make things less rude or awful.
