The secret is written present tense and talking about what is going to happen next. I had to look it up to see if it was still on. That's the confusion.

Ah okay, I could see that. Though it still makes sense to me for someone to use present tense if they're going through it for the first time. That was what I assumed.

Comments about how a show is old are just a pet peeve of mine. Seems like it happens a lot and that it would only discourage people from making secrets about older fandoms, and I don't think we need to be keeping the secret count down any further than it already is. But you weren't doing the "is it 2008 again?" thing. Sorry.

Yeah, my guess is that they're going through it for the first time too and don't know what will happen next/keeping themselves ignorant of spoilers.

Though I still think it is slightly odd given that f!s is known for talking about stuff in real time and spoiling things either intentionally or unintentionally.

I agree. The way the secret is worded is odd. It's written as if it were written during the time the show was still airing, or as if the secret maker were somehow unaware that the show ended years ago. I don't care if people submit secrets about old fandoms - this one is just worded very strangely.

It's not odd if the OP is watching it for the first time. For them, it is happening in the present and their opinions are going to be about things they just saw, but they haven't finished watching the whole series yet so they don't know how things end.

I'm surprised this is so weird in this day and age when people often wait to get into a show and then marathon entire seasons in a weekend.

But the reference to fans still makes it sounds like it was written while the show was airing.

I mean, for all I know WAT still has a thriving fandom. *shrug* It just comes across as a little weird.
