Ugh. Dramatic fic I can understand not revealing a possibly bad ending. I do that sometimes but tend to tag with stuff like "tragedy" or "pain."

But shipping fic, to not outright state the end pairing? People read for specific ships. It's a fic writer's greatest draw. Why play all mysterious and will they/won't they? That shit's for canon.
